Drayage Costs at Las Vegas Venues (and How to Avoid Surprises)
Drayage — the cost of moving your freight from the dock to your booth — is the line item that most surprises first-time exhibitors. Here's what to expect at each major Las Vegas venue.
How drayage is priced
Most shows price drayage per 100 lbs (CWT) with a minimum. Show services contractors set the rate. Crated vs uncrated, advance vs direct-to-show, and round-trip vs one-way all change the price.
How to minimize drayage
Fabricate locally so the booth doesn't travel cross-country. Use direct-to-show delivery during move-in windows where allowed. Crate efficiently — pad density matters.
When to use a local fabricator
If your booth crates over 2,000 lbs and you're shipping from outside Nevada, local fabrication usually pencils out — the drayage savings alone often cover the build premium.
