LVCC I&D Rules Every Exhibitor Should Know
LVCC has its own union jurisdictions, electrical rules, and move-in scheduling. Get this wrong and your booth sits at the dock while the floor opens. Here's the playbook.
Union labor jurisdiction
Carpenters handle booth assembly. Teamsters handle freight on the floor. Electricians handle all electrical, including plugging in extension cords. Exhibitor-installed work is limited and varies by show.
Drayage (material handling)
LVCC drayage runs roughly $1.50–$3+ per pound depending on show. A 5,000-lb crate can easily cost $7,500–$15K in drayage. Local fabrication and direct truck-to-booth delivery sidestep most of it.
Move-in windows
Each hall, each aisle, each booth gets an assigned move-in slot. Missing it means waiting for the next available window — sometimes 24+ hours.
Electrical ordering
Order electrical drops 30+ days in advance for advance pricing. On-site orders run 50%+ premiums.
