Brands park six-figure builds on raised platforms, surround them with branded millwork, and turn 50×50 spaces into mini-dealership showrooms. Common pitfalls at SEMA
Platform weight engineering
Raised display platforms holding a 7,000-lb truck need engineered drawings and load calcs. SEMA enforces it. Don't show up without stamped plans.
Vehicle move-in scheduling
Vehicles enter the hall on specific days, in specific aisles, with specific escorts. Coordinate with SEMA show services 8+ weeks ahead or your truck sits outside.
Booth height creep
16' max in most SEMA halls. Overhead signs and ceiling structures over 8' need separate sign-off. Discover this in design, not at move-in.
